フランツ・カフカ

[1883.7.3 - 1924.6.3]

プラハ生まれのユダヤ系ドイツ語作家。生前はほぼ無名だったが、死後に友人マックス・ブロートの手により遺稿が発表され、人間疎外、罪悪感、実存的不安、不条理を思わせる作風で世界的なブームを巻き起こし、現在では20世紀の文学を代表する作家と見なされている。著書は『変身』『城』『審判』『断食芸人』『流刑地にて』『田舎医者』『火夫』『観察』『万里の長城』『判決』『アメリカ』等。
