ピタゴラス

[582 BC - 496 BC]

古代ギリシアの哲学者、数学者、宗教家。教団を組織し、そこでは霊魂の不滅、輪廻、死後の応報が信じられ、万物の原理とされる数学が重んじられた。以後の世界に対する影響は、宗教・哲学、自然科学・音楽・詩学など広い範囲に及ぶ。
